Underwatering

Although not a common as overwatering, underwatering is still a frequent problem for succulents. Signs of underwatering include shriveling leaves and brown tips. If you tend to neglect your plants or were told that succulent doesn't need any water at all, it's likely that your plant has been underwatered. Although it's true that succulents are desert plants and prefer dry conditions, they, like all plants, still need some water. Ideally, you should water your succulent every time the soil dries out completely, which is usually about a week or so. If your succulent has been underwatered, start watering more frequently until you see the shriveled leaves return to normal.
